Crushed glass Frit is made from glass that is recycled from the production of Oceanside Compatible™ fusible sheet glass. All salvaged edges used to make Frit are separated from the other glass at the time of production to ensure that purity and expansion tolerance standards for Frit are consistently met. Fine and Powder grades are magnetically cleaned of metal residues.
A note about
PARTICLE SIZES
What are the differences?
Frit comes in various particle sizes because different projects require it. Many artists build color solely with powders, while others might use the full range of particle sizes within a painting or project. When entire scenes are built from Frit, we call the work a Frit Painting. Most Oceanside Compatible colors are produced in all five particle sizes.
